Kelly's Page - Our Rose Blue Girl

This is one of those colors that is hard to put a name on since it is so unique.  We had called it "cinnamon".  But now that she's growing, she has become a "rose blue".  Either way, she's adorable!  Kelly started out dark red and has grown out to a more cinnamon shade of red with grey-blue undertones through her coat. She has an adorable flat little face, a blue nose, and pretty green eyes.

Kelly has a solid chocolate sire, and was bred at Le Leone.  She had a littermate, her brother Sully, who was the same coloring, and he has gone to live with his new family here in Arizona.  (He came by for a visit with his new owners recently, see his photo below).

Below you can see how a Shih Tzu can change color from birth over the span of a few weeks as it grows, by watching our own little Kelly grow.  And notice how Sully was bright red in the litter photo, but how he turned rose blue as he matured.  *Most Shih Tzu change color from their coloring at birth...something to consider if color is a factor in your puppy purchase.
